MUSIC NEWS- The music’s over at Shea Stadium, where the "Piano Man, Billy Joel just finished his second of two sold-out shows that will be the final concerts ever at the NY Mets ballpark in Flushing Meadows Park, Queens, NY USA. The shows, billed as “Last Play at Shea,” featured a grand total of 68 songs and eight special guests.

As we predicted here at MNN, Paul McCartney (unfortunately no Ringo though) helped out by singing and playing guitar on The Beatles’ classic I Saw Her Standing There with the Piano Man and his backing band before being brough back to the stage for a duet on the final song ever to be played at the venue, Let It Be. McCartney wasn't the only rocker to join Mr Joel on stage. Roger Daltrey of the Who, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, the legendary Tony Bennettand Garth Brooks came up to play a few songs. Congratulations Long Island, New Yorker Billy Joel, you gave Shea Stadium the a fitting farewell concert, more than any fan could have asked for. The entire event was filmed, so expect the dvd soon (in the meantime, pick up Joel's Yankee Stadium concert on dvd, here) !
