DEJA VU, the film that documents the CSN&Y reunion tour will hit US theatres on July 25 and UK theatres July 18th. Directed and written by Bernard Shakey (Neil Young), the film positions the war in Iraq as the backdrop while Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young crisscross North America in the summer of 2006 during their "Freedom of Speech Tour". Echoes of Vietnam-era anti-war sentiment abound and make this a compelling, enjoyable film as the band connects with today's audiences. The entire movie is a provocation; and not only a concert film. There's plenty of music and the band sounds great! But other focal points abound; important history lessons, Iraq war veterans and the contributions of reporter Mike Cerre, keep the war issue in the audience's face. Purchase the cd soundtrack here. Produced by Shakey Pictures and released in theatres by Roadside Attractions.
