Willie Nelson 2008 Tour Announced

     Septuagenarian and iconic Texas hero, Willie Nelson, creative power behind recordings like “Crazy,” “Hello Walls,” “Red Headed Stranger” and “Stardust,” is touring again on  his 2008 “On the Road Again” tour.  Nelson, 75, is regarded by most music fans as one of the most beloved and notorious country music singers. He reached great fame during the “outlaw country” movement of the 1970s, and remains extremely poplular with a wide audience.  He continues to tour, record and perform, and, combined with activities in the advocacy of cannabis, fuel alternatives and social issues he remains in the focus of continued media attention.

His public career spans six decades, and his catalog includes more than 200 albums. He's earned numerous awards and honors, including 10 Grammys, the most recent of which was the 2008 best country collaboration with vocals for “Lost Highway” with Ray Price. He also has amassed reputable credentials as an author, actor and activist.

Willie Nelson and band hits the road today for an end-of-summer tour. He'll cap it all off with a performance at Radio City Music Hall in NYC with guest Jakob Dylan (why not, Willie's performed with Jakob's dad, Bob) and The Gold Mountain Rebels. He will also be part of the 2008 Farm Aid concert in September in Massachusetts, USA.
