Now classic rockers Creedence Clearwater Revival's first six albums will be reissued in expanded versions on September 30 from Fantasy Records, the label the band recorded on until their 1972 breakup. "Creedence Clearwater Revival," "Bayou Country," "Green River," "Willy & the Poor Boys," "Cosmo's Factory" and "Pendulum" will feature a host of B-sides and some unreleased material. These are must own albums! Among the highlights from the rare items
are an early cover of Bo Diddley's "Before You Accuse Me" from the self-titled debut, a live jam of "Crazy Otto" from "Bayou Country" and a live version of "Down on the Corner" recorded for a TV show with Booker T & the MGs from "Willy & the Poor Boys." Another Booker T collaboration on "Born on the Bayou," taped in the studio in 1970, is on "Cosmo's Factory," while the extremely rare tape montage "45 Revolutions Per Minute (Parts 1 & 2)" has been included on "Pendulum." CCR lead singer John Fogerty signed with Fantasy back in 2005, ending a long-standing legal dispute over royalties with label owner, Saul Zaentz. He has re-emerged periodically over the years and continues a successful solo career.
