MUSIC NEWS- What a pair, legendary rock guitarist, Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin) and Brit pop singer Leona Lewis (pictured at right) will perform a duet in the closing ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Olympics on August 24. No
word yet on what song they will perform. The expected incredible finale will also feature international soccer sta, David Beckham, who will arrive on the top of a classic red London double-decker bus, then kick a soccer ball into the crowd to celebrate the start of the countdown to the 2012 London Olympics. An Olympic official said: "It is set to be one of the most mind-blowing spectacles ever. David was elated to be asked to take part, as was everyone who has been invited. Having a rock god like Jimmy Page and a singer like Leona Lewis performing together for the first time will certainly be something to remember." Stay tuned to MNN !
8/22/08 UPDATE- Whole Lotta Love by Page/Lewis will be performed in a shortened, edited (per IOC officials) version.
