MUSIC NEWS - Great news!, word is that The Grateful Dead are likely to re-form in October, to support the US Presidential campaign of Barack Obama. The legendary San Francisco rock band will reportedly get back together on October 13 to raise money for the Obama's campaign. All four surviving original members will play together; Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, Phil Lesh and Bill Kreutzmann. The reports further say that Allman Brothers and Gov't Mule member, Warrne Haynes will join the Dead on lead guitar replacing original member, guitarist Jerry Garcia, who died in 1995 after suffering a heart attack.
I'm a 35+ year Dead fan....a major fan. Purchased practically everything they've produced, seen countless concerts, read the biographies and love and perform their music...BUT.
Musicians should stick to music.
