MUSIC NEWS- The three original band members of Ben Folds Five; Darren Jesse, Robert Sledge and Ben Folds will reunite for special performance at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill later this month. BFF will play its final album, The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner (1999), in full on September 18 at the university's Memorial Hall. Tickets go on sale September 8 at ETix.com. The show will mark the group's first public performance since they split up in 2000, right after the Reinhold Messner tour. Ben Folds' new solo release, the long-awaited Way to Normal, is to be released two days before the gig, on September 16, with a tour to follow that kicks off September 24 at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C. and will visit theatres, clubs and the occasional shed through mid-November. Stops include Terminal 5 in New York City (September 30-October 1), The Fillmore Detroit (October 9), The Pageant in St. Louis (October 16), Uptown Theater in Kansas City, Mo. (October 22), Stubb's Bar-B-Q & Waller Creek Amphitheatre in Austin (October 25) and The Wiltern in Los Angeles (November 14).
