MUSIC NEWS- We previously noted here on MNN, but now it's official, New Jersey's Bruce Springsteen and the E STREET BAND have been confirmed as the halftime show performers at this season's SUPER BOWL XLIII, in Tampa, FL! Following in the line of great rock performances at the event; after U2, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Paul McCartney and Prince, Bruce will be featured at the game! Legendary for his live performances, BRUCE has a good chance of being the highlight of the Bowl XLIII scheduled for February 1, 2009, at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. With their recent, record breaking Magic tour over, they can rest up for this gig! The halftime show will be televised in more than 230 countries, the NFL and Fox network said in an announcement on Sunday.
