MUSIC NEWS- Dance music (and more really) from a Beatle ??!! Yes, Paul McCartney, straight from his recent concert in Tel Aviv, has announced plans to release an album of electronic and ambient music under his pseudonym The Fireman. Electric Arguments, the third cd the former Beatle has made with producer Youth (aka Martin Glover of Killing Joke), is scheduled for a November 17 release and contains a mixture of musical styles. It will be the first cd from Sir Paul since he put out Memory Almost Full last year. That album reached #3 in the USA and sold around 1.5 million copies worldwide. The McCartney/Youth duo tried to keep their identity secret when their first album was released back in 1993, but it was leaked to the press. They followed up their debut album with Rushes in 1998. Electric Arguments is said to be an eclectic and varied album that consists of thirteen tracks recorded in thirteen days over the period of nearly a year! Each song was written and recorded in one day! One of the tracks (tbd) from the new album will be released as a limited edition download to supporters of the Adopt-A-Minefield campaign.
