MUSIC NEWS - Noel Gallagher, Oasis guitarist, has recently spoken out about the attack on-stage at the Virgin Festival in Toronto, CN on September 7. As has been reported, the attack forced Oasis to cancel a gig in Ontario two days and another in New York due to injuries he suffered when he fell onto a monitor after being violently shoved by a man who was able to get past security and up onto the stage. The guitarist made fun of the incident on his blog, saying: "I knew something was going to happen last night. I said I had a bad feeling, didn't I!? Someone, who can only be described as a 'Canadian', was able to get onstage, somehow managed to evade our crack security team (Trotters Independent Security Service) and assaulted my mid-riff. Can't say much more than that as the 'perpetrator's' gonna get the book thrown at him. Repeatedly. It was all going so well up until that point'n'all. Feel like I've had a sparring session with Ricky Hatton. Still, we'll probably get an extra couple of days in NYC. Every cloud, eh?" Gallagher's attacker, Daniel Sullivan reportedly hid under the stage to avoid detection from the gigl's security team. If you haven't yet seen the video clip of the attack, see below-

In other Noel Gallagher news, he has jumped to the defense of the controversial MTV Video Music Awards host, RUSSELL BRAND, and accused American critics of Brand of having a double standard. Brand made several political attacks against US President George W. Bush during Brand's gig onstage as VMA host, which prompted outrage from some viewers; many who likley had never heard of the British funnyman. But Gallagher, a regular guest on Brand’s BBC radio show, insisted the "big hairdo" comedian was wasted on his critics! And, don't forget Oasis’ new cd “Dig Out Your Soul” is being released on October 7th !!!
