MUSIC NEWS- We know where, we now know when, but don't know who yet. The dates for the 2009 Lollapalooza festival have been announced and the event will be held August 7,8,9 at Grant Park in Chicago, Il. According to a press release, the organizers, C3 Presents "checked the Farmer's Almanac, got a tarot reading, mined historic S&P data and shook the Magic 8 Ball to determine the date for next year's show." That's good enough for us. Details and updates will be posted at the festival's site here. But hey, send them an e-mail and tell them who YOU want to see.
UPDATE 4/21/09- Depeche Mode, Tool, Kings Of Leon and Beastie Boys are confirmed to join Jane’s Addiction at this years Lollapalooza festival. The event will also feature sets from the Killers, Lou Reed, Snoop Dogg, Vampire Weekend, Arctic Monkeys and Kaiser Chiefs !
UPDATE 3/6/09 - Kings of Leon, Depeche Mode, the Beastie Boys and Jane's Addiction playing the 2009 Lollapalooza, the Chicago Tribune has reported. Texas-based C3 Productions has said the full line-up will be announced in April.
I know there are tons of rumors for TOOL joining on the list for this summer as well..
