Jimmy Kimmel to Host '08 American Music Awards

       MUSIC NEWS-  Popular late-nite talk-show host Jimmy Kimmel will once  again host the annual American Music Awards show ceremony, it was announced. This marks Mr Kimmel fifth time as host of the event.  The show will take place November 23 at the Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles and will air live on ABC-TV. The 2008 American Music Awards will also feature performances from Pink and the Jonas Brothers.    Many more performers will be signing on, and announced over the next few weeks.  "The AMAs reflect pop culture through music, while at the same time celebrating the fans and audiences," Orly Adelson, president of Dick Clark Productions and AEG said in their press release. "We are delighted that Jimmy Kimmel will be joining us once again to MC the AMA's. Jimmy is a masterful host with incredible spontaneity and wit; audiences can expect a great night."  And Kimmel's response; "I agree with Orly completely."
