MUSIC NEWS- Oasis have been accused of ripping off a tune from British singer, Cliff Richard with their new single 'The Turning'. Noel, Liam Gallagher and company posted the song on MySpaceMusic last week, ahead of Dig Out Your Soul's cd release today (Oct. 6), and almost immediately, Cliff Richard fans started to comment on the singer's website about what they believe is an odd resemblance. The new Oasis song has received some harsh criticism from fans of crooner Richard, who claim the tune sounds too much like his 1976 hit, 'Devil Woman' from Richard. Oasis have yet to issue a comment on the comparisons, but it would not be the first time the band has sampled songs from other musicians. Guitarist Noel Gallagher has previously admitted that a riff in 1994's 'Cigarettes and Alcohol' was based on T Rex's 'Get It On', and 'Don't Look Back In Anger' pays homage to the late John Lennon's 1971 song, 'Imagine'.
