Whoa, Hold Up on Those WEEZER Rumors...

      MUSIC NEWS-  Weezer has gone public to debunk last month's word that they were about to enter the studio to record a new album.  Guitarist, Brian Bell told Spinner.com in a recent interview; "Someone jumped the gun. We're still going to focus on promoting the Red album, and when we have the songs and the time feels right, we'll record."   It looks like the source was their own drummer, Pat Wilson, who told Billboard that the band was set to start recording in November.  Despite this lack of communication these two conflicting reports suggest, Bell did confirm that the dynamic "within the band has shifted towards being more collaborative, and a safer place for people to bring ideas to and actually be heard."  But, we still have to wait for new music from them, and wait a little longer.  Meanwhile, Bell would like to release an album by his side-project, the Relationship, in the next few months.   Stay tuned!
