MUSIC NEWS - Hot off claiming a new Guinness world record for radio interviews, Fall Out Boy has announced a few concerts in support of their forthcoming new studio release, Folie a Deux. They kick off a brief tour in suburban Boston, then on to Philadelphia (11/7), Seattle (12/4) and Denver (12/6) on this trip, which the band is calling a "small club run" on their site. Itinerary is listed below.
"Folie a Deux", now with a December 16 release, is the band's fifth album, third album for Island Records overall. The album, which is reported to feature guest appearances from Pharrell, Lil Wayne (who is NOT dead) , Panic at the Disco and Debbie Harry (Blondie), was originally set for a Tuesday, November 4 release until the the group decided it best not to compete with USA Presidential Election Day. "Six months ago we thought it would be a fun idea to release our album on election day but this is not the election to be cute," the band said in a recent press statement. "We felt as though rather than making a commentary we were only riding the wave of the election. This seemed less and less like what we intended to do and more of a gimmick." The new album follows their 2007 "Infinity on High," which was the group's first # 1 album in the USA, and had a pair of Top 10 singles; "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race" and "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs."
