MUSIC NEWS- Britsh pop/electro rock band Ultravox will reunite for a 2009 "Return to Eden" tour, their first performances since Live Aid in 1985. Drummer Warren Cann, bassist Chris Cross, violinist/ keyboardist Billy Currie and guitarist/vocalist Midge Ure will perform 14 dates starting on April 10 in Edinburgh. So far, the itinerary is limited to the United Kingdom. Ultravox had its biggest success under the leadership of Ure, who replaced the original frontman Dennis Leigh (aka John Foxx) in 1979. His first album with the group, "Vienna," spawned UK top 10 hits for the title track and "All Stood Still." The band achieved US acclaim with 1982's "Quartet," produced by George Martin, which started a string of successes that included hits such as "Love's Great Adventure" and "Dancing With Tears in My Eyes." Tickets for the Eden tour, produced by Live Nation, go on sale at 9am GMT on Wednesday 12th November.
In other Ulravox news, Both Vienna and Rage to Eden have recently be re-released in re-mastered versions !
