MUSIC NEWS - A reuniting Blur, Neil Young and USA rocker Bruce Springsteen are among the intensely rumored artists to play the 2009 Glastonbury Festival (June 26-28), although we have so far, been unable to confirm with organize Michael Eavis, or daugther Emily, talent booker for the event. The Blur reunion, which has been big news in UK media, is certain with a July 3 show at London’s Hyde Park, and member's recent press interviews stated "warm-up" gigs were a definite. Damon Albarn will join Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree onstage for the first time since Blur’s Royal Festival Hall performance in 2000. As for Bruce, his new album, Working On a Dream (at right), is due for a January 27, 2009 release from Columbia Records.
UPDATE 12/12/08 - A spokesperson from the Glastonbury Fest said they have no comment about the specific rumors mentioned (which now include Kaiser Chiefs), they said an announcement regarding the even'ts line-up would be made on February 1, 2009. We'll tell you then !
