MUSIC NEWS - Omaha, NE alt-rockers 311 just announced a run of spring & summer headlining concerts while the band determines a release date for its just completed new studio album, "Uplifter" for Volcano/Jive Records. The band, which committed to another series of its summer Unity Tour, kicks off the spring run April 15 in Tucson, AZ. The sixteen city trek goes through mid-spring and concludes July 12 in Irvine, CA . (itinerary below). The 25 date Summer Unity Tour with have support from reggae artist Ziggy Marley and an unnamed special guest.
For the new release (their 9th studio album), the band worked with veteran hard-rock producer Bob Rock (Metallica, Motley Crue). The set, the group's first album since 2005's "Don't Tread on Me" (buy cd here) is due in stores/on-line shoppes later this spring.
