MUSIC NEWS - Chris Cornell (Soundgarden, Audioslave) has just announced his US spring tour in support of his upcoming album, “Scream”, which was produced by Timbaland. It will be out by Mosley Music/Interscope on March 10, 2009. Following shows in Canada and Europe, Chris and his live band will be heading across the USA in March and April, visiting major cities from Dallas and New Orleans to Chicago and NYC. Tickets go on sale to the public this Friday, February 13 with a fan pre-sale on now.
Originally scheduled for release in November 08, Cornell's third solo release, "Scream," is now due for March 10, 2009. The album, which follows 2007's "Carry On" and 1999's "Euphoria Morning," features production by Timbaland, who brought an R&B flavor to Cornell's typical hard-rock atmosphere, according to the singer.
"A lot of people were concerned about, like, am I gonna do what, for example, Timbaland tells me to do, if he wants to tell me to do something, that kind of thing," Cornell told The Pulse of Radio last fall. "We didn't really have that relationship, it wasn't that type of a process. It was more, he would bring in a beat, an idea, I would write to it and sing it, and we would move on kind of to the next thing."
Three songs from the forthcoming album--the title cut, "Ground Zero" and "Watch Out"--are currently available for download from both Amazon.com and the iTunes store.
