MUSIC NEWS - UK's All Tomorrow’s Parties (ATP) have announced that the USA rockers, DEVO are confirmed to perform the world premiere live performance of their legendary 1977 Brian Eno produced album "Q: ARE WE NOT MEN, ARE WE DEVO?” (buy cd here) at the London Forum on Wednesday, May 6th 2009. A one time only performance of the entire album, only for the London Kentish Town Forum, and the very first time the band will perform the album in its entirety. This rare concert will be is part of the DON’T LOOK BACK album series. Two days later, DEVO will perform a gala greatest hits concert at the world famous ATP Festival – The Fans Strike Back edition at Butlins Holiday Centre, Minehead. Info and tix at ATPFestival.com
In other DEVO news, the boys have announced their plans to release their first album in 19 years, "De-evolution has finally arrived," reads the press release, "and who better to guide us through the mess than Devo?" The album, still untitled, is planned for an autumn release, and will be the band's first LP since 1990's Smooth Noodle Maps.
Devo are still led by Mark Mothersbaugh and Gerald Casale, with brothers Bob Mothersbaugh and Bob Casale, on drums, Josh Freese.
