MUSIC NEWS - Amercian rocker, John Mellencamp recently tipped off fans on his website to his tour plans for the summer. Rumors have been circulating about Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson on the bill with him. Mellencamp said, "a special tour is in the works, slated to start in early July and run through the end of August. He plans on playing minor league baseball fields, sharing top billing with two other "major artists". He also plans to record a new album during the tour, "as American folk as I've ever been," he says and it's to be produced by T-Bone Burnett, the album will be recorded at old hotels including the famed former Statler Hilton Hotel in Downtown Dallas. Willie's recovering from a recent illness that caused the cancellation of six of his concerts. He hits the road again in April.
