MUSIC NEWS - Canadian folk rocker, the legendary Neil Young has announced his appearance at summer's UK Isle of Wight music festival as the closer on Sunday, 14 June 14. The festival's bill already included The Prodigy, Basement Jaxx, Stereophonics and Razorlight. The fest has tried for years to get Mr Young to perform and was finally successful for the '09 event. Young will be releasing his latest solo album, Fork in the Road, on April 6 (order copy here). His new release is rumored to have him return to his country roots.
Young's also been finally confirmed as the final headliner at this summer's sold out Glastonbury festival (June 26 thru 28). He joins Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band and Blur (among others). Organizer Michael Eavis said Young's involvement was “big news” for the festival and personally a “dream come true”.
