MUSIC NEWS - The second annual Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival has been confirmed for 2009! The second installment of this entertainment experience will again take place over three days in San Francisco's historic Golden Gate Park. This year, it'll be on August 28 thru 30, 2009. Last year's inaugural event received cheers from fans, the press and the industry at large. The San Francisco Chronicle called "this first-of-its-kind music festival in Golden Gate Park a success!" Rolling Stone said that its "good vibes derived from the combined experience of the two companies that produced it".
By continuing to bring a wide selection of world-class music and activities that celebrate the culture of the Bay Area, this year's event is poised to cement the festival as one of the premier music events in the country. Outside Lands 2009 is the start of a five-year agreement with San Francisco's Recreation and Park Department and the City of San Francisco. San Francisco Rec & Park manages over 200 Parks, Playgrounds and Open Spaces throughout the City, in addition to numerous other recreation facilities and programs. Outside Lands is thrilled to support this mission. A significant portion of every ticket sold will directly benefit San Francisco's Recreation and Park Department.
