New PRINCE 3pk to Be Exclusive to Target Stores

      MUSIC NEWS - Retailer,Target is to be the exclusive retailer in the USA for Prince's new three-disc cd set being released March 29.   His new cds, "LOtUSFLOW3R" and "MPLSoUND," and a third called,  "Elixer," featuring Prince's protege Bria Valente, will be packed together and sold at a deal price. Following the music industry trend,  Prince follows after AC/DC, The Eagles and Bruce Springsteen in making deals with a retailer for exclusive releases.  In return for given the retailer "exclusive" permission, the performers received an advance payment and promise promotional support.  In the case of Bruce Springsteen, he received a lot of negative reaction for his recent exclusive with Wal Mart and later admitted it was a mistake and that the deal should have been reviewed more closely before signing.
