MUSIC NEWS - So you don't miss the music, AT&T Music will bring the 2009 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival to your computer (and cell) in the USA with a daily live stream of performances from a variety of artists including; Paul McCartney, The Killers, The Cure, Morrissey, Franz Ferdinand and M.I.A., according to a press release. They'll also stream the Coachella performances April 17 thru 19 on select wireless handsets of AT&T customers via MobiTV and MobiVJ, which can be downloaded at AT&T Media Mall or by texting "TV" to 386 from a compatible phone. (Standard text and data messaging charges apply.)
Some archived performances also will be made available following the festival on AT&T Music, AT&T U-verse TV and through CV on AT&T wireless. McCartney, who is tonight's (4/17) headliner, will have 45 minutes of his set streamed live. The complete performance lineup for the live webcast can be found at Music.att.net. AT&T will also be at the fest with the "Cool Down and Charge Up with AT&T" tent, where festival attendees can see new technology and applications, recharge their cell phones, have photos taken, and preview / purchase ringtones, Answer Tones and full tracks through their Media Mall.
