MUSIC NEWS - Regina Spektor today announced the release of Far; the anticipated follow-up to Spektor's Begin to Hope. Set for a June 23, 2009 release via Sire Records, Far continues to show new layers in Spektor's songwriting while she goes after the next level in her musical style. With her uninhibited imagination and her hands-on approach working in the studio, Far is said to succeed, not only with 13 impressive and accessible tracks, but a spotlight on Spektor's gift to craft intelligent and honest odes to life. Four producers collaborated with Spektor on Far: Jeff Lynne (ELO, The Traveling Wilburys), Mike Elizondo (Dr. Dre, Eminem), David Kahne (Paul McCartney, The Strokes) and Garret "Jacknife" Lee (Weezer, R.E.M.).
Spektor will tour the world beginning in June. Tour dates to be announced soon.
