New Album from THE SOUNDS, Tour & TV News Too

     MUSIC NEWS - Swedish pop/synth-pop quintet The Sounds have been confirmed to perform the first single, "No One Sleeps When I'm Awake," from their forthcoming album, CROSSING THE RUBICON on "The Late Show with David Letterman" on June 15th. The irresistible song, powered by attitude, ambition, and adrenaline, will go for adds at alternative radio on May 11th.  The band recently kicked off a headlining tour of the US  that started on April 27th in Boston, MA, before embarking on a 3- month summer tour opening for No Doubt. The Sounds' new album CROSSING THE RUBICON,  out on June 2nd on Original Signal Recordings (order a copy below), follows the trials & tribulations of a tight-knit group of friends that went from playing small clubs in their hometown of Helsingborg, Sweden to entertaining legions of fans around the world. From the romantic combat of "My Lover" to the insolence of "4 Songs & A Fight," from the bittersweet "Home Is Where Your Heart Is," to the chorus of "Beatbox", the music on CROSSING THE RUBICON is a combo of beautiful melodies, soaring guitar riffs, and beats, all to the backdrop of the highs &  lows of human nature.  The Sounds, with producers Adam Schlesinger, James Iha, Matt Mahaffey, Jeff Turzo, Mark Saunders and Tim Anderson produced CROSSING THE RUBICON.
