MUSIC NEWS- To support the release of his new, ROADSINGER album, YUSUF (formerly Cat Stevens) is scheduled to appear Sunday, May 3 in NYC at a "secret" concert at the Highline Ballroom and at the El Rey Theatre in L.A. on May 11. Tickets are not on sale, available by invitation only. And no word on a Yusuf tour, though he is appearing in the UK on May 28 as part of the Istand Records 50th Anniversary celebration. UPDATE 4/30/09- The May 3 NYC gig has been cancelled due to "Visa" issues, but may be re-scheduled. His L.A. performance at the El Rey Theatre is still on-schedule.
