BUDDY MILLER Leads Americana Music Awards Noms

     MUSIC NEWS- The Americana Music Association awards nominations are out and singer-songwriter Buddy Miller led with five (including artist of the year and instrumentalist of the year).  Miller, 56, from Fairborn, Ohio and his wife, Julie Miller, are also up for album of the year for "Written in Chalk".  The 8th annual event will be held on September 17 at Nashville's legendary Ryman Auditorium.  Steve Earle's son, Justin Townes Earle, received three nominations.  Alejandro Escovedo, the Flatlanders and Australia's Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson received two nominations each!e.

The nominees were selected by the Americana Music Association on work released between June 1, 2008, and May 1, 2009.

After having some heart problems earlier in 2009, Buddy Miller is back on the road, touring as part of the Three Girls and Their Buddy tour (with Shawn Colvin, Patty Griffin and Emmylou Harris. See Buddy's tour itinerary after the break-
