CHICKENFOOT Album Release

     MUSIC NEWS - "Chickenfoot", the "other" new rock super-group, consisting of drummer Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), bassist Michael Anthony (Van Halen), guitarist Joe Satriani and vocalist Sammy Hagar (Van Halen), will release their eponymous debut album Friday, June 5 in the USA (order below), and Monday, June 8 in the UK (on the earMusic label).  The release has song titles including "Sexy Little Thing", "Soap On A Rope," and "Down the Drain", the last two songs can be heard on the band's myspace page, check 'em out. The band will be performing on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien, NBC Television on Friday June 5th and will guest on the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline" on Wednesday, June 17 at 8:30 pm PST. Hailed as one of the most intense rock'n'roll albums in years, the debut Chickenfoot album coincides with the bands' USA & UK concert tour. The band & album are currently riding a wave of aniticipation, with several rock magazines hailing the band as a breath of fresh air. Classic Rock says, "Chickenfoot is the best thing the band members have put their famous names to," while Mojo refers to the band as "one badass supergroup".    And, an interesting packaging note, the album will be in heat sensitive artwork that allows photos and images to appear when you touch the cover!
