THE AIRBORNE TOXIC EVENT Announce World Tour

     MUSIC NEWS - L.A.'s The Airborne Toxic Event today announced their world tour that starts June 28 at Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI. The group will bring the music from their eponymous debut album to the world, playing in 11 countries and on 4 continents.  The album, which features the Top 5 single "Sometime Around Midnight," was released August of 2008 on an indie label, MajorDomo Records  (now distributed by Island Records), and has continued building finding new audiences.  The band's second single, "Wishing Well" is out now while the first single, the haunting "Sometime Around Midnight" now has a video (see below), by filmmaker DJ Caruso (Disturbia, Eagle Eye) and showings on the VH1 program "You Oughta Know".   

The Airborne Toxic Event has had major success overseas, getting extra attention for their ambitious tour of the UK which included 30 shows in 30  consecutive days. Q raved in a 4 out of 5 review that the album contained "lyrics full of the best fiction's emotional resonance... tracing a historical line from The Strokes to The Killers, yet also marking this band's own great leap forward."
