MUSIC NEWS - With his three week tour opening for Jeff Beck finished, and several successful dates opening for CHICKENFOOT last month behind him, Davy Knowles and his band, Back Door Slam have been invited for more CF (Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, Joe Satriani, Chad Smith) gigs. DK&BDS are now confirmed to open for 20+ shows across the US. Plus, Davy and BDS have added their own headlining shows to their busy itinerary, to support the new Peter Frampton (also on tour this summer) produced album, ‘Coming Up For Air’ (out June 16, order below thru MNN). The 11-song release has nine Knowles compositions, a compelling cover of George Harrison’s “Hear Me Lord” and bonus track “Taste of Danger”, a soulful and dynamic duet with singer-songwriter Jonatha Brooke.
