MUSIC NEWS - Indie singer/songwriter Ingrid Michaelson releases her highly-anticipated new album, "Everybody," on August 25th via her own Cabin 24 Records (& Original Signal/Universal Motown). "Everybody" is her follow-up to 2007's release, "Girls and Boys," which gave us the hit single "The Way I Am" and launched Ingrid into the mainstream music world. Listen to a small preview of the new single, MAYBE (out July 14) with an intro from Ingrid on her MySpace page now. And, when you subscribe to her mailing list you'll get an MP3 of a previously unreleased music.
On "Everybody" Michaelson showcases a matured point of view as she explores a new relationship with the idea of love, one that's less of a crushed-out girl and more of self-realized, independent woman. "'Everybody' is about a big idea. Well known for her live performances that balance honest emotion with her own quirky humor, Ingrid will be heading out on a fall tour of intimate venues to present her brand new songs from her forthcoming album for the first time. Her full fall tour schedule will be announced soon, but for now we have confirmation of September 16th in NYC, October 7th in Los Angeles and October 26th in Chicago.
Michaelson's most recent project, a compilation of new songs, covers, live favorites and demos was entitled "Be OK" and supported Stand Up To Cancer, an org created to urgently move cancer research forward with the help of the public.
