MUSIC NEWS - Pop music superstar, Michael Jackson, 13 time Grammy winner, known as "The King of Pop", died on Thursday afternoon in Los Angeles after suffering a cardiac arrest, the Los Angeles Times reported, while citing law enforcement and city sources.. He was 50. Jackson was taken to UCLA hospital in Los Angeles after a 911 call at 12.21pm local time. Paramedics arrived at his rented home in Holmby Hills and performed CPR and tranported to the hospital in a "deep coma".
The cause of death was not immediately known. Jackson is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince "Blanket" Michael Jackson II. Jackson had planned a comeback this year and had booked a series of 50 concerts thru AEG in London's 02 Arena.
