MUSIC NEWS - TEANY, Moby's vegan restaurant in NYC was destroyed by fire over the weekend. The restaurant, which the producer/musician/DJ co-owns with his former girlfriend Kelly Tisdale, was hit by flames on Thursday evening, June 18. Writing of of the accident, Moby wrotes on his blog from Germany (where he's currently while he promotes new album ''); "Yesterday there was a fire (no one was hurt, as far as I know) and Teany was destroyed... I'm really glad no one was hurt."
Moby says there are plans to get the eatery back open as soon as possible. "Apparently Kelly is working hard to repair it and get it re-opened." He wrote; "So there's a good chance that Teany will re-open at some point in the next month or two."
In other MOBY news, his first self-released single, Pale Horses, is out today via his own label, the new ‘Little Idiot’. The second track from Moby’s upcoming new album Wait For Me (out June 29th, order below thru MNN), Pales Horses’ single package offers alternative mixes by Moby, plus remixes and interpretations by Gui Boratto, Apparat, Ben Hoo, Davide Rossi, and Jason Bentley. The single will be available digitally, on 12” vinyl and on limited edition 7” white vinyl.
