MUSIC NEWS- The daily schedule for the second annual Rothbury Festival, (July 2 thru 5, 2009) at the Double JJ Ranch (approx 30 miles north of Muskegon, MI) has been annnounced. The sked lists Disco Biscuits and Cold War Kids wrapping the Ranch Arena and Sherwood Court stages on the first day of the fest which also shows performances by Toubab Krewe, Keller Williams, Kid Cudi and Lotus.
Next, on Friday, July 3 STS9 (Sound Tribe Sector 9) wraps up the day on the Ranch Arena stage with Girl Talk taking the Sherwood Court stage at some point after midnight. Other bands and artists playing Rothbury’s second day will be Broken Social Scene, Femi Kuti, Martin Sexton, Brett Dennen, Soulive and G Love & Special Sauce plus The String Cheese Incident in their only summer appearance.
The Dead have agreed to appear in their only summer show when and headline the Odeum stage Saturday, July 4. Other closers include Umphrey’s McGee at the Ranch Arena and STS9, making their 2nd appearance at the event, on the Sherwood Court stage. On Saturday, fest attendees will hear The Black Crowes, Zappa Plays Zappa, Jackie Greene, Son Volt, Railroad Earth, Les Claypool and MSTRKRFT.
The final day of Rothbury 2009 has the legendary Bob Dylan gracing the Odeum stage, Gov't Mule at the Ranch Arena and Ani DiFranco at Sherwood Court. Other performers on July will be;
