MUSIC NEWS - Sting has announced plans to release his new album this fall, and it's dedicated to his favorite season, winter, according to the news on his site. "If On A Winter's Night ..." is said to feature a collection of songs, carols and lullabies, along with two original tunes (Lullaby for an Anxious Child and The Hounds of Winter, which originally appeared on his 1996 release Mercury Falling). Sting and guest musicians will interpret traditional British music, including a Newcastle ballad, an English "begging" song and a 14th century carol. The album will be released on October 27, 2009 in the USA. On the album, Sting is joined by friend and long time colleague, guitarist Dominic Miller and others. More at Sting.com.
