Tween Pop Star News; MILEY, Ashley and Mitchel !

     MUSIC NEWS - MILEY CYRUS has announced her autumn tour; her first without her Disney alter ego Hannah Montana.  The big tour will visit 43 cities accross the USA and will kick off September 14 in Portland, OR, and continue thru early December.  Full itinerary is below. Family will accompany Cyrus on the tour, as her older brother Trace Cyrus and his band, Metro Station will open all shows. No word on whether dad will perform !

"Breakout," Miley Cyrus' most recent release and her first without the co-billing of Hannah Montana, was released last summer. For 2009, the tween superstar hit the big screen in "Hannah Montana: The Movie," adapted from the Disney teen sitcom of the same name. And it was announced this week that Disney channel has ordered a fourth season of the TV show, which also stars Cyrus' real-life father, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus and Mitchel Musso who has released his news record.

Musso, from the Disney Channel hit series “Hannah Montana” and “Phineas and Ferb,” released his Walt Disney Records self-titled solo album this week!  Named MTV’s “Male Pop Rookie of 2009,” Mitchel proves himself every bit the showman behind the microphone that he is in front of the camera. The single “Hey” is in rotation on Radio Disney and the music video can be seen on the Disney Channel, or here .    

Pop singer and actress Ashley Tisdale announced the release of her new album, entitled Guilty Pleasure, (via Warner Bros. Records) for July 28, 2009.  Said to have an edgy, guitar-driven pop-rock sound, Guilty Pleasure is a creative and mature leap forward for this young singer and songwriter, who launched a career as a solo artist with her gold-certified Top 5 rhythmic-pop debut Headstrong back in 2007.  On the new album, Tisdale collaborated with a host of qulaity producers and songwriters, such as Kara DioGuardi (Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood), Toby Gad (Beyoncé, Fergie), Billy Steinberg (Madonna), Emanuel Kiriakou (David Archuleta, Nick Lachey), and Swedish production team Twin (Headstrong singles "Not Like That" and "Be Good To Me"), and co-wrote several tracks.

The album's first single, "It's Alright, It's OK" is a spunky break-up anthem about being single and in control of your life for the first time, has been put into rotation on MTV and has been featured on such hit shows as So You Think You Can Dance and The Hills.  Known for starring in the High School Musical franchise, Tisdale took home a 2009 MTV Movie Award in the "Breakthrough Performance, Female" category for her role in High School Musical 3:Senior Year, Tisdale is currently in Europe promoting Guilty Pleasure. She returns to the U.S. this month to perform "It's Alright, It's OK" on Good Morning America on June 16. The week of Guilty Pleasure's release, Tisdale will appear on The Today Show on July 28, The View on July 29, and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on July 30. Tisdale is currently gracing the cover of OK Magazine.
