MUSIC NEWS - Earlier this week, rumors were abound, that The Twilight Saga: New Moon would feature an impressive soundtrack, improved over the steallar sounds on the first film. And now, director Chris Weitz has slowed down the rumor mill, stating in an Comic Con interview with HitFix.com, that Radiohead's Thom Yorke
and Justin Vernon (performing as Bon Iver
) will both produce new songs for the movie's soundtrack.
"[Vernon] says he wrote it for the film, but who ever knows if it might just be something laying around in his cupboard," Weitz joked. He continued with that he'd be happy with just about anything Mr Yorke gave him, "unless it's sounds of him belching."
Weitz still has Kings of Leon
at the top of his performer list for the soundtrack. Getting bands/artists for the soundtrack that he, cast and crew all appreciate is his goal. That's nice to know, as important as soundtracks are we doubt the Twilight franchise would be impacted either way, but it's a great chance to get the mainly young girl crowd interested in great performers!
