MUSIC NEWS - On the 40th Anniverary of one of the most important music (and societal) events in history, Woodstock
, NY area radio personality, Pete Fornatale (and host of the syndicated Mixed Bag Radio program) has just released his Woodstock tome, Back to the Garden: The Story of Woodstock published by Touchstone books (buy it below thru MNN). An excellent read, Fornatale examines the landmark fest and brings us the true spirit through the words of some of the era's biggest musical talent.

And, our friends at WFUV (90.7 FM, WFUV.org) will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Woodstock Music & Arts Festival with special programs & features all weekend. The celebration continues all weekend long on the station's FUV Music web stream and HD channel, with special features and music. The festival will also be remembered on Pete Fornatale's own show, Mixed Bag, on Saturday from 4:00-8:00 PM. Capping off the festivities on August 16th from 8:00-11:00 AM, will be Sunday Breakfast, as host John Platt chats with Richie Havens, Joe Cocker, Country McDonald and others about their Woodstock memories.
