MUSIC NEWS - Brit pop/rockers Squeeze co-frontman Glenn Tilbrook will kick off a late-summer / fall US solo tour on September 10 to promote his recent "Pandemonium Ensues" album (out via E1 Records).
The singer/songwriter starts the run in Philadelphia to benefit the Love Hope Strength Foundation, a charity that supports cancer centers. The 18-city trek, which includes two dates (October 12 &13) with Tilbrook's full band The Fluffers, will have Tilbrook in small clubs around the US, ending with a November 7 show in Bayshore, NY (Long ISland); full itinerary below.
Tilbrook (and the Fluffers) gave us, "Pandemonium Ensues," his first solo release "Transatlantic Ping Pong" (2004) back in April. Tilbrook, best known as one of the co-founders of the Brit-pop band, Squeeze
in the late '70s, touring with the group for 25 years before their 1999 breakup. The band released their 12th and final studio album "Domino" in 1998, re-united in 2007 for tours throughout the US and parts of Europe. Currently there are Squeeze reunion plans in the works, with a new Squeeze album possible in 2010, according to Tilbrook's website.
