MUSIC NEWS - Folk-rock trio The Avett Brothers have announced more tour dates thru spring 2010 as the ride the success of their major-label debut. The group, brothers Seth Avett (guitar) and Scott Avett (banjo), along with stand-up bass player Bob Crawford and touring cellist Joe Kwon, kick off their next round of tour dates on December 30 in Knoxville, TN. And, after a New Year's appearance in Asheville, NC, and January dates in Atlanta and Dallas, they'll take a break before launching into an extended run starting up on February 24 in Athens, OH, with a series of concerts thru May (full itinerary below).
The Avett Brothers are out supportting excellent major-label release, the Rick Rubin-produced "I and You and Love," which came out last month on American Recordings. Rubin--who was responsible to getting the band on AR, worked on the album with the band in Malibu, CA, and Asheville, NC.
