Music News - If you haven't noticed, Muse’s current single “Uprising” has become a fixture on Alt Rock radio, now topping the charts for 13 consecutive weeks, breaking the record for number of consecutive weeks at # 1 on the Mediabase Alternative Rock chart for the 2009 calendar year. Quite impressive!
“Uprising” is the first single from the Brit trio’s fifth studio album The Resistance, which arrived at #3 on the Billboard charts. Muse’s previous album, 2006’s gold Black Holes and Revelations, peaked at # 9 at Billboard . The Resistance was produced by Muse and mixed by well regarded audio engineer Mark ‘Spike’ Stent. The band recently supported U2 on several American tour dates, are currently winding up a sold-out tour of the UK and Europe. They will soon announce details of a spring 2010 headlining USA tour in support of The Resistance.
Muse, vocalist/guitarist Matt Bellamy, bassist Chris Wolstenholme, and drummer Dom Howard, will perform on Saturday Night Live on December 19. And, the band's announced a series of upcoming holiday radio shows in the USA including KROQ’s legendary Almost Acoustic Christmas at .L.A.’s Gibson Amphitheatre on December 13.
