MUSIC NEWS - The Eagles have announced plans for a three concert run at L.A.'s Hollywood Bowl next April, making the first time the Grammy-winning group has appeared there. The shows are booked for April 16, April 17 and April 20, and tickets will be available at the box office for the general public on Monday, December 14, according to press statement, but American Express cardmembers can get an early shot at tix starting Monday (12/7). Tix will be available at all Ticketmaster locations, via Ticketmaster charge-by-phone (800.745.3000) or online at Ticketmaster.com
The Eagles; Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit (now touring solo), continue to promote their 2007 release "Long Road Out of Eden". That album earned the group Grammy Awards for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for "How Long" in 2008, and Best Pop Instrumental Performance for "I Dreamed There Was No War" in 2009.
No word on addition tour dates, though more are rumored for sping / summer 2010.
UPDATE 1/29/10- Additional West Coast tour dates have been added. THE EAGLES have now confirmed Phoenix on April 21, Anaheim (4/25), Sacramento (4/27) and San Jose (4/30), before wrapping up on May 9 in Vancouver.
