RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS Have a New Guitarist - JOSH KLINGHOFFER

MUSIC NEWS - John Frusciante's replacement in the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS has been named. Josh Klinghoffer (Ataxia, Frusciante's buddy and RHCP touring guitarist) is the guy and he confirmed it recently on his website, with Josh-Klinghoffer.net now being directed to StadiumArcadium, the Peppers fan site.

Last month it was acknowledged "officially" that John Frusciante had left the band.  So far though, the band hasn't confirmed John's departure, or Josh's joining but we expect some word soon since the group's booked to play at the Musicares Neil Young Tribute event later this month.

"Information is currently circling the web that needs clarification, regarding Josh Klinghoffer and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Josh-Klinghoffer.net is currently undergoing a change of ownership, and in transferring data and relevant correspondence to the new owner, personal communications between Josh and Katrina (Cavadino, former editor of JKDN) were mistakenly sent out, leading to a story that should never have been run.

Katrina is completely mortified and disappointed at her betrayal of trust, no matter that it was a freak accident and miscommunication. She wishes to sincerely apologise for any embarassment or hurt she has inadvertently allowed to be caused.

Until official notice comes from the band or management, Josh's role in the band is not confirmed and remains subject to speculation.
