MUSIC NEWS- Despite the non-stop flurry of ROLLING STONES 2010 tour rumors, some citing reliable sources, the band's PR firm (Rogers & Cowan) released the following brief message today that says it all-
“Following recent UK media speculation, The Rolling Stones would like to make it clear, there are no plans at the moment for the band to tour in 2010.”
Though tour rumors are a frequent subject in the UK newspapers, this one seemed likely to be true (maybe it's because we wanted it to be ). In the past, the same sources have gone on record claiming Pink Floyd, The Kinks, Genesis (with Peter Gabriel) and yes, Led Zeppelin were going to tour under the "reunion" banner. But none of these panned out, so we should have known better on the recent RS reports. But with Ronnie Wood dumping his girlfriend, it seemed to all make sense. Oh well, we can hope, and wait for the next UK report since the Stones did say "at the moment" !
