MUSIC NEWS - Over 38 groups have signed on for the fourth annual Rock On The Range festival, booked for May 22 & 23 in Columbus, OH at the Columbus Crew Stadium. The event will mark the return of the reunited Limp Bizkit, who've almost only played European festivals since their reunion, except for the Las Vegas gig last summer in Las Vegas. The fest also includes first-timer "Rangers" Rob Zombie and Godsmack along with the festival solo debut of Slash. Rest of the lineup-
Three Days Grace, Seether, Rise Against, Papa Roach, Deftones, Theory Of A Deadman, Killswitch Engage, Coheed & Cambria, Mastodon, Bullet for My Valentine, Puddle Of Mudd, Five Finger Death Punch, Apocalyptica, Drowning Pool, Halestorm, Sevendust, Skillet, Mushroomhead, Helmet, Airbourne, Anberlin, Cold, Nonpoint, 2Cents, Adelitas Way, Janus, Shaman's Harvest, Year Long Disaster, Like A Storm, Taddy Porter and Columbus’ own Noise Auction (others to be added).
Del Williams, Co-Executive Producer of the festival for Right Arm Entertainment, said of the event, "We designed ROTR 2010 to be the biggest weekend of ROCK at an incredibly low ticket price for the fans affectionately referred to as the ‘Rangers.’ This year’s lineup represents the most compelling mix of bands that we have ever had. Godsmack is one of the most prolific Active Rock bands of all time, and the intrepid Rob Zombie is an unrivaled performer. We are particularly excited about the return of Limp Bizkit, who have been tearing it up at European Festivals. It is time for them to come back to America and remind people why they were at one time one of the biggest bands in the world."
"In four short years, this festival has become like no other in the United States," added Joe Litvag, co-executive producer of the festival for concert corporation, AEG Live. "We've been fortunate enough to create something that caters to a very specific music lover, and the fans have become truly rabid for it. Rock On The Range has become the summer destination for an entire nation of rock fans… It’s amazing really."
Pricing for weekend festival passes begin at $99.50, with a special pre-sale beginning on Tuesday, February 16. And, as is the trend for festival ticketing in these challenging economic times, you can buy tickets this year thru a layaway plan. All tickets go on sale February 20 at 10am EST via rockontherange.com and ticketmaster.com, as well as all local Ticketmaster outlets and at the Crew Stadium box office.
