MUSIC NEWS- Word is out on who are the guest artist's on the SLASH solo album, and included are Chris Cornell, Fergie, Ozzy Osbourne, Ian Astbury, Myles Kennedy, Kid Rock, Dave Grohl, Lemmy Kilmeister, Adam Levine of Maroon 5, M. Shadows of Avenged Sevenfold, Iggy Pop, Andrew Stockdale of Wolfmother as well as his ex-bandmates Duff McKagan and Izzy Stradlin. The album, entitled Slash, will be out via EMI Label Services in April.
Of the album, Slash recently said; "The idea was really simple in the beginning. These are all artists I wanted to work with – that I thought it would be amazing to do something creative and collaborative. And I was so impressed with what everyone brought to the table. They were all so committed to doing a good job, and we had a lot of fun making these songs."
Slash also retained producing partner Eric Valentine (Queens of Stone Age, All-American Rejects) for the project, bassist Chris Chaney (Jane’s Addiction) and highly regarded studio drummer Josh Freese. Slash was responsible for most of the arrangements and songwriting duties and personally choose each contributor. Also involved are Alice Cooper, Nicole Scherzinger, Flea, Steven Adler, Nick Oliveri, Beth Hart, Cypress Hill, Fergie and Koshi Inaba.
