MUSIC NEWS - After Billy Joel decided to take the rest of the year off and not continue the co-headling Face2Face tour with Elton John, Sir Elton has booked his own tour about the USA and Europe for 2010.
John's tour, with a full-band starts up on April 9 in Lubbock, TX and continues through May 1 with a gig in Youngstown, OH. Ticketing information, and Sir Elton's Euro itinerary, is at his site.
After months of postponements and cancellations on their joint Face 2 Face tour, John and Joel have re-booked most of the missed gigs with the recent Albany, NY gig (March 11) wrapping things up (for now).
"As far as I know, there will be no more Billy and Elton shows after the Albany show in New York on March 11th," John said during a tv interview last month with Chicago's WGN. As MNN reported, John said; "It's not my decision, it's Billy's,". "He has decided to take a year off. It doesn't gel with my plans but he's a friend. And as an artist, you have to respect his decision."
