MUSIC NEWS - Not long after his recent emergency apendectomy, Bret Michaels (Poison; TV's Celebrity Apprentice & Rock of Love) is back in the hospital. This time with an even more serious issue, after severe headaches Thursday evening, the rocker was taken to an undisclosed hospital where doctors discovered he suffered a massive subarachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding at the base of his brain stem), according to a source close to the situation.
Michaels is listed in critical condition. "After several CAT scans, MRIs and an angiogram, [doctors] decided to keep Michaels in the ICU and are running several tests to determine the cause. [It] will be touch and go for the next few days while he is under intense observation," the source told People. More @ People.com.

UPDATE 4/24/10- Bret Michaels publicist confirmed on Friday that Michaels has been hospitalized. Joann Mignano, Michaels' New York City-based publicist, confirmed the People magazine's website that reported that the former Poison lead singer was rushed to intensive care late Thursday evening with a severe headache. The report said doctors discovered bleeding at the base of his brain stem.
Ms Mignano said tests are being done but did not release information on where Mr Michaels was being treated.
UPDATE 4/25/10 - Bret Michaels publicist said on Sundary that Michaels remained in critical condition, but was conscious and talking with slurred speech after suffering his brain hemorrhage.
